WAJA for Women and Orphans provides hands-on automotive training, mentorship, and professional development for women and orphans in Ghana.

Who Can Apply?

The program is open to:

No prior automotive experience is required.

Application Policies & Information

WAJA recognizes that some applicants may face barriers such as:

To ensure equitable access:

Local organizations, community leaders, NGOs, social workers, churches, schools, and trusted volunteers may submit an application on behalf of an interested woman or orphan.

The following may complete and submit the online registration form on behalf of an applicant:

  • Registered community-based organizations
  • Faith-based organizations
  • Social workers
  • Orphanage administrators
  • School administrators or teachers
  • Recognized community leaders
  • Verified WAJA volunteers
  • Trusted family guardians (where appropriate)

If registering on behalf of someone, the registering party must:

  1. Confirm that the applicant has given informed consent
  2. Provide accurate contact information for follow-up
  3. Clearly indicate they are submitting on behalf of the applicant
  4. Provide supporting documentation if requested (e.g., guardian confirmation)

WAJA reserves the right to verify applicant eligibility directly.

By submitting an application on behalf of an applicant, you confirm that:

  • The applicant understands the purpose of the program
  • The applicant agrees to participate voluntarily
  • The information provided is truthful and accurate
  • You are authorized to assist with this application

False or misleading submissions may result in disqualification.

If online submission is not possible, WAJA also offers:

  • Paper-based application forms (available through partner organizations)
  • In-person registration days (announced on our website)
  • Assisted registration events in local communities
  • Phone-based pre-registration (where available)
