Empowering Women to Drive the Future of Mobility in Ghana.
The future of automotive work is changing. Being a woman or orphan should never be a barrier to opportunity.
WAJA empowers women and orphans in Ghana through automotive technology training, digital diagnostics, AI-supported repair education, EV readiness, personal development, and entrepreneurship.
Empowering women and orphans isn’t charity—it’s lasting systems change.
Modern vehicles are no longer only mechanical. They rely on sensors, software, onboard computers, electrical systems, diagnostic data, and increasingly electric and hybrid technologies.
WAJA is making sure women in Ghana and West Africa are not left behind.
Through a technology-enabled training model, WAJA prepares women to understand, diagnose, and service modern vehicles using both hands-on repair skills and digital tools.
Why WAJA Exists
Many women and orphans in Ghana face barriers to stable income, technical education, and long-term economic independence. At the same time, Ghana’s automotive sector needs a stronger workforce capable of supporting modern vehicles, diagnostics, and future EV systems.
WAJA connects these two needs.
We train women for real opportunities in the automotive industry while helping strengthen Ghana’s future service infrastructure.
WAJA is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advancing workforce development, technology access, and economic opportunity for women and orphans in Ghana and West Africa.
